More from Fernandes, speaking to Sky Sports: “Obviously the job is not done yet. We still have one Premier League game left and then the most important game of the season, the FA Cup final.

“We want to do it better and different and they (the fans) deserve it.

“We still have two games left and we have to finish in the best way.

“There is no captain's performance, it is a team performance.

“I am no different from anyone just because I have the armband. I always do my best and we always do the best we can for the Club; no one hides the fact that we play for a great Club and we have to raise our standards in every game.”
