Manchester United are willing to offer Marcus Rashford in a swap for Victor Osimhen

The Nigerian international is not part of Antonio Conte's plans at Napoli and will spend the current season at Galatasaray, although it is expected that there will be a final decision on his future in the summer.

The Sun has reported that Manchester United is willing to offer Mark Rashford in a swap deal to sign Osimhen. The African star has a £62million release clause, but Rashford's inclusion in a deal could drive down the transaction price. The report adds that a move is possible this month, although Osimhen's loan lasts until the end of the campaign.

The exchange agreement is a win-win situation

Manchester United will have a win-win situation if they successfully execute a swap deal between Marcus Rashford and Victor Osimhen. By doing so, they would also get rid of an incredibly high salary and could offer their team's free position, as well as their salary budget, to one of the most reputable hitmen in the world.

Rashford has had a terrible season and was described as a “Very bad” player by Marco van Basten in October of last year. He has not improved much under Ruben Amorim either and, after being eliminated several times by the Portuguese, the 27-year-old has opened the door for his exit. Antonio Conte is interested in acquiring the player and Napoli is willing to do so.

Although a January move has been said to be possible, it seems an unlikely prospect considering Osimhen may prefer to finish the season in Türkiye, where he is enjoying a productive period. Man United may also not be able to make a decent mid-season spend unless they make a sale, perhaps that of Zirkzee.
