Manchester United are working to sign Manuel Ugarte before the deadline

Manchester United Negotiations are reportedly continuing with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte, according to the transfer expert Fabricius Romano.

The Red Devils have been looking to strengthen the midfield department towards the end of this window, having already bolstered the forward line and defence with the signings of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui earlier this summer.

It has been widely suggested that Ugarte is the top target, but United were struggling to reach an agreement with Les Parisiens to close the deal, with the French giants unwilling to let the midfielder leave for less than £51 million.
