United are willing to sell Wan-Bissaka this summer and are seeking a fee in excess of £15m.

Wan-Bissaka joined the Red Devils from Crystal Palace on a six-year, £50million deal in the summer of 2019.

His contract at Old Trafford is set to expire next summer after the club extended it by a further 12 months.

The acquisition of the right-back was a major coup for Manchester United and several Premier League clubs are said to be very interested in him.

However, his success at Manchester United has been intermittent during what has been a difficult period for the club.

Manchester United have won two trophies during Wan-Bissaka's time at Manchester United: the 2023 Carabao Cup and last season's FA Cup, starting with the FA Cup triumph over Manchester City.

Wan-Bissaka has made 190 appearances for Manchester United, scoring two goals and providing 13 assists in the process.

A move to one of the world's top clubs would boost his hopes of playing for England, but Wan-Bissaka has yet to be called up to the senior squad. The 26-year-old is also eligible to play for the Democratic Republic of Congo.

But even though his career isn't following the same trajectory as some predicted when he burst onto the scene at Palace, there's certainly a good player there.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher described him as “the best one-on-one defender in the world for a full-back” in 2020.

Manchester United are busy in the transfer window after completing the signing of Dutch striker Josh Zirkzee earlier this month and are also closing in on the signing of highly-rated French defender Leny Yoro.

The Red Devils are also believed to be interested in Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt but could end their interest in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

Meanwhile, Mason Greenwood is on the verge of leaving the club, while Scott McTominay is attracting a lot of interest.

As for West Ham, they have been very busy this summer having signed centre-back Max Kilman from Wolves for £40m, as well as Brazilian midfielder Luis Guilhermem and former Sheffield United goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

talkSPORT understands they are also favourites to sign Arsenal striker Reiss Nelson and are also in the hunt for young French defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

The Hammers are looking to return to Europe under new manager Julen Lopetegui after spells in the Europa League and a Conference League-winning campaign under David Moyes.

When does the summer transfer window close?

The 2024 summer transfer window officially closes on Friday 30 August at 11pm UK time in the Premier League and 11:30pm Scotland time.

The Premier League has brought forward its deadline this year to be in line with other major European leagues.
