Eleven goals in two seasons have not been enough to convince fans that he is the man who will lead them to glory, with Erik the Hag Also apparently unconvinced.

This is due to Marcus RashfordAmad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho are above him in the Manchester United pecking order.

It has been suggested Fenerbahce could be willing to offer him an escape route with a loan from Old Trafford, but talkSPORT understands those reports are misplaced.

However, according to Agbonlahor, his Manchester United career should be virtually over.

Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, Agbonlahor said: “It's been a disaster, hasn't it? Let's be honest.

“He needs to move. He's not going to get any playing time at the moment. Manchester United and they are going to lose a lot of money the day they sell it.

“It’s not worth half of what they bought it for right now.

“All of this, his signing and his performance in the Premier League, is a disaster.”

Agbonlahor has openly criticised Antonio, previously naming him in his 'XI failure' of the 2022/23 season.

He had previously called the former Ajax star 'embarrassing' and a 'show-off' after his slow start at Old Trafford.

Antony has not lived up to his price tag and should be sacked, says Agbonlahor

Agbonlahor is not the only talkSPORT presenter to criticise Antony, with Darren Bent rates it as a 2/10 signing.

“I think I'm being generous with that,” Bent added.

“I've always said: have you had a good time since you've been at Manchester United? No, you haven't.

Darren Bent and Andy Goldstein list all of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag's signings from Ajax, including Lisandro Martinez, André Onana, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui and Antony

“We haven't seen nearly enough quality and consistency since he's been there.

“Is he a good player? He has to be. You can't get to that level if you're not like that.”
