According to the Turkish media Milliyet, Manchester United sent officers to monitor Trabzonspor centre-back Ali Sahin Yilmaz during the Turkish Under-20 team's clash with England last week.

He has played in friendlies for Trabzonspor in the past, where he has impressed with his accurate passing, long balls and ability to clear his lines.

The youngster has been an unused substitute on multiple occasions this season and could make his first-team debut in the near future. Following positive comments last week, United are likely to keep a close eye on him throughout the campaign before assessing whether to make a formal approach for the centre-back. Much like Kone, the Red Devils could be tempted to sign him for his untapped potential at first. He could be regarded as a future prospect with long-term success in mind.
