Manchester United are interested in young Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.
United have identified the 20-year-old as a potential option to offer competition and coverage for Luke Shaw.
Shaw has only made 12 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils this season, having been sidelined since February with a muscle injury.
It is thought that Bournemouth will demand a high fee for Kerkez.
The Hungarian international came through AC Milan's youth programme, before joining the Cherries from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for an undisclosed fee.
He has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season, with Bournemouth finishing 12th in the Premier League.
The left-back also played a key role at AZ, helping the Dutch club to fourth place in the league in his first full season there.
He was part of the AZ team that reached the semifinals of the European conference league semi-final in 2023, where lost to West Ham, eventual title winners.
The young defender has also been called up by Marco Rossi in the Hungarian national team Euro 2024 squad The country will face Switzerland, Germany and Scotland in their group matches in June.
Kerkez received his first international call-up when he was just 17 years old and has already amassed 14 caps.
Despite spending just one season in the Premier League, the defender has already impressed and attracted the attention of Man United.
Speaking to BBC Radio Solent In April 2024, Kerkoz said he was not worried about possible interest from other clubs.
“I'm not busy with transfer news, the people who look after me deal with all that,” he said. “I'm just focused on Bournemouth and my performances here.
“I know I'm young, I know what I can do and what level I can reach, so I just have to see what happens in the future.”
