Manchester United reach agreement to sign African star Sekou Kone

Manchester United They have reportedly reached an agreement to sign African star Sekou Kone, according to the transfer expert Fabricius Romano.

The Red Devils have been busy this transfer window, having signed Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, Noussair Mazraoui and Joshua Zirkzee to bolster their squad.

Besides, Erik the HagParis Saint-Germain are also interested in signing a new midfielder before the deadline and Paris Saint-Germain star Manuel Ugarte is widely suggested as the top option.

However, as well as strengthening the first-team squad, United's new signings team have also been looking to sign youngsters to bolster the academy.

They have already signed Chido Obi Martin from the Arsenal and Samuel Lusale from Crystal Palace this summer, both aged 16.

Kone to Manchester United

Now, writing about unknown, Roman Man Utd have reportedly closed a deal to sign another youngster, this time Malian youngster Sekou Kone, who joins the club from Guidars FC.

The journalist further claims that the 18-year-old is considered a huge talent around the world and that several clubs are chasing him, but the Red Devils have managed to beat everyone in this race.

Romano said:

“Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign talented Mali international Sékou Koné born in 2006 from Guidars FC. Here we go! Koné was on the list of several clubs but United have reached an agreement today. Considered a huge talent, he is part of their long-term plans, as is Chido Obi Martin.”

Romano added that Kone will undergo his medical next week before official papers are signed for his transfer to Old Trafford.

The youngster is a natural holding midfielder, but is also comfortable playing in a box-to-box role. He had a stellar campaign at the U-17 World Cup last year, helping his country finish third. Kone was a standout performer in that competition.

He is a technically sound player and efficient at dribbling past opposing defenders. He can also make passes between the lines and is also solid in his defensive contributions.

As well as building a squad to help Ten Hag achieve success next season, the new INEOS-run Man Utd are also looking to sign players with a long-term eye on the future.

Meanwhile, after starting the season with a 1-0 win over Fulham, Man Utd will travel to the AMEX Stadium to face Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League next.
