Manchester United ready to activate £34m release clause for Joshua Zirkzee on one condition
Manchester United want to reach a personal agreement with Joshua Zirkzee before activating his £34million release clause, talkSPORT understands.
United are in talks with Bologna and Netherlands forward Zirkzee's agent, Kia Joorabchian, over a possible move to Old Trafford.
Zirkzee, part of the Dutch team in Euro 2024He has also held advanced talks with AC Milan but is believed to be open to a move to the Premier League and United are one of the English clubs who have inquired.
United manager Erik ten Hag is understood to be looking for competition for Rasmus Hojlund entering the new campaign.
Zirkzee has also been promoted as a potential option for Arsenal while they also look for attack reinforcements.
A deal could cost the relatively modest sum of £34 million due to a release clause in the 23-year-old's deal with Bologna.
The attention on his services comes after Zirkzee scored 11 goals in 34 Serie A games last season.
His contributions helped Bologna finish fifth in the league, allowing them to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Zirkzee is currently with the Netherlands at Euro 2024 after receive a late call to Ronald Koeman's squad.

And he was named on the bench in the opening Group D match at Hamburg's Volksparkstadion against Poland.
He was not a substitute, however, as Wout Weghorst was preferred off the bench, and the towering centre-forward scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute.
But he could be in line to make his international debut against France on Friday night.
Before joining Bologna in 2022, Zirkzee was on the books of Bayern Munich, where he scored four goals in 17 games between 2019-2021.
He also enjoyed loan spells at Parma and Anderlecht, before finally leaving the Allianz Arena on a permanent contract.
