Manchester United working on a deal to sign Manchester City target Ruben Amorim as a replacement for Erik ten Hag
Manchester United are in advanced talks with Sporting Lisbon manager Rubén Amorim, talkSPORT understands.
Amorim is your main objective after saying goodbye to Erik ten Hag and, as reported Monday morning, United is willing to pay compensation for his successor.
Double Portuguese title winner Amorim has an £8.3m release clause in his contract.
talkSPORT understands members of United's hierarchy sounded out Amorim last week and intend to close the appointment quickly.
amorim He is regarded as one of football's most promising managers and has previously been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham.

He has also recently emerged as a potential candidate for the position in city of manchester as Pep Guardiola has entered the final year of his contract with the club.
