Aston Villa supporters celebrated the news of Emi Martínez’s new long-term contract with a meet-and-greet session at the club’s revamped Villa Store.
The goalkeeper and firm fans’ favourite put pen to paper on Wednesday, extending his stay at Villa Park until 2029.
Martínez, a World Cup and double Copa América winner with Argentina, subsequently met supporters, signed autographs and posed for photos at the event.
He also joined President of Football Operations Monchi and Director of Football Operations Damian Vidagany in speaking to assembled season ticket holders and members of the media.
