Emi Martínez has won the club’s January Player of the Month award.
Supporters voted for the goalkeeper on the back of several fine performances across the month, which saw him keep three clean sheets.
The Argentine conceded only three goals in January as Villa beat Middlesbrough, drew with Chelsea and Everton and lost out to Newcastle United.
A terrific stop to deny Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Goodison Park also earned him a nomination for the Premier League’s Save of the Month award.
