Hertha Berlin will face a challenge to keep Márton Dárdai at the club in the summer as they look to extend his contract but face interest from Bundesliga sides reports Bild and kicker.
It is reported that Augsburg are increasingly trying to sign Dárdai and have offered €2m for the defender, money that Hertha very well needs. A departure of Dárdai would also remove one of their higher earners from the club.
However, it is reported that Hertha are trying to extend the contract of Dardai which expires in 2025 but due to the interest of a Bundesliga club, that can offer more money this is potentially unlikely.
Dardai could be the second or third of the family to leave the club in the summer. Márton’s younger brother Pence has already agreed to join Wolfsburg in the summer upon the expiry of his contract. While father and head coach Pal Dárdai could leave the club in the summer.
