“I just look at the person. I think what has happened in the year and a half since it happened is worse than I can imagine, being in the press and on social media.
“I can only imagine what he's been going through. The case went through stages and was dismissed, so it's not my place or anyone else's place to judge him on that.

“No matter what happens, everyone deserves at least a second chance. And he knows that all eyes are on him.
“So it's a lot of pressure and I'm happy for the player coming back because it's probably a trauma.
“It's difficult to recover, so at least I give him my support. He must have a strong mentality to start playing again and start playing so well.”
