- Aston Villa Women Vs. Liverpool Ladies – Sun, Nov 3rd 2024, 16:30
Aston Villa welcome Liverpool to Villa Park this afternoon as they resume their 2024/25 Women’s Super League season following the international break.
Robert de Pauw’s side will also be looking to return with a bang and earn their long-awaited win of the WSL campaign.
Villa were last in action two weeks ago as they travelled to take on a strong Manchester City side at the Joie Stadium.
Gabi Nunes’ first goal in the Claret and Blue gave the side a first-half lead but Villa eventually became undone in the second-half.
Goals from Lauren Hemp and Jill Roord ensured the come back for City and left Villa with nothing to show for their efforts.
Liverpool came from behind to earn a point in their last outing before the break.
Former Reds striker Katie Stengel put her new side, Crystal Palace, ahead early on in the enouncter but Cornelia Kapocs ensured a point for her side as she levelled the scoring inside the first-half.
