Federico Chiesa will dominate the headlines for the coming week amid Barcelona ties

I think that Federico Chiesa will be one of the big headlines during the last days of the transfer market. As we reported before, it is not in the plans of Thiago Motta, and he decided to pursue a different opportunity, and he only has one year left on his deal. He can leave for around 15 million euros with bonuses – it's an affordable price.

Regarding his salary, there are many questions that have decreased compared to the beginning of the summer. Part of it is the money, but more than that, it comes to the project offered to the Church. I think he wants to go for a project that is completely convinced, and in the background is the fact that he can write a free deal with a new club in six months.

His agent acts as an intermediary between Barcelona and Juventus to see if there is a real possibility for an agreement. This is something that has been proposed by the agent, and Barcelona has him as an option on the table, but no concrete offer has come for him. I have no doubt that Saudi Arabia rang their camp to see if there was a chance of that happening, but I am not aware of any concrete offers coming in, especially for Vinicius.

I don't even imagine that Vinicius or Eder Militao would be interested – you never know for sure with these things – but I think he was a bit overwhelmed in terms of interest.

Also, it's worth noting that Saudi Arabia didn't spend the kind of money they did last summer, breaking transfer records. I'd be surprised if they even got to those numbers, I'm sure they asked, but it all sounded a little strange to me.
