Carlo Ancelotti's role in Ferland Mendy's contract renewal
As we discussed before, from the first day, Carlo Ancelotti communicated very clearly to the Real Madrid President Florentino Perez that he wanted to be able to rely on Ferland Mendy. It was a priority for him, and he loves it as a player. Ancelotti pushed hard for the new deal, and played a key role in making it happen.
Not only in terms of Real Madrid, but also Mendy. No one wants to leave Real Madrid, but if you are not playing and it is not clear if you want to, the natural reaction is to consider your options, and contemplate an exit. Four teams showed interest in Girona's Miguel Gutierrez and he made an offer
Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez was one of the best in Spain last season, and it is no surprise that teams are interested in him this summer. It is also worth remembering that Real Madrid has a buyout clause of 8 million euros for Gutierrez.
In Italy, Bologna presented a formal offer, and they asked a lot about him, but he did not manage to make any progress with it. Gutierrez had some doubts, and Bologna instead went for Real Betis' Juan Miranda.

Real Madrid will think about their midfield for next summer
