Matteo Moretto's Transfer Column: Khephren Thuram, Hector Fort and Real Betis in talks with left-back
Matteo Moretto gives Football España exclusive information on the latest business dominating the newspapers in Spain, as revealed in Daily Briefing by Fabrizio Romano.
From the sources I consulted, I have no confirmation of an offer of 35 million euros for Hector Fort. There is an ongoing negotiation between Barcelona and Fort, and they are discussing what kind of role Fort will have next season and what the plan is for him going forward.
Here are some of the details that are being discussed. That said, things are currently not moving forward, and there will be several more meetings before any deal is made. But there is a will on both sides to make an agreement.
Khephren Thuram has recently switched agencies to go with the same one that manages his brother, Marcus Thuram at Inter Milan. So I would have to pay attention to the concrete news that comes just now, since they have not yet started conversations. He is ready to try a new experience though, and one that is outside Ligue 1. There is nothing solid about it. where it could be however.
As for Sergi Cardona, he has not renewed with Las Palmas, and has been in talks with different teams. Real Betis is very interested, and closely followed, they have met with their agents, but no progress has been made yet.
I am aware that they have also spoken with other clubs, clubs in Spain as well, and their representation is testing the market outside of Spain as well. There are Serie A sides who have inquired about him. With Barcelona, I have no confirmation of their interest.
