Mauricio Pochettino's revelation worries Chelsea fans again
Mauricio Pochettino's press conference last night had some pretty interesting comments about Christopher Nkunku.
At the beginning of the week he had said that the Frenchman had “problems” and that he would only be on the bench during last night's game.
In the end he was not even on the bench and after the game Pochettino admitted that the attacker had a hip problem that he suffered in training.
“He didn't participate because he suffered a hip problem after training and we have to see if he can be ready for the next games,” explained the Chelsea coach, causing widespread consternation. What's happening in training these days?
It is simply devastating news for fans who just want their players to be fit and on the field. Pochettino doesn't help himself with strange decisions like bringing on Conor Gallagher in the closing stages last night.
Chelsea were reminded of their worst moment against lower league opposition last night and desperately needed Nkunku's creativity and goals. If he's out for a while again, we can't imagine what the reaction will be like online.
