Sky Germany reports that Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix is set to reunite with former manager Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace.
Lacroix was Glasner’s number one target as he looks to boost the South London side’s defensive options ahead of the end of the transfer window.
The 24-year-old is set to have his medical at the club today before signing a long-term contract at the club and moving for €18m plus €3m in potential add-ons. Wolfsburg had hoped for close to €25m.
Lacroix has spent four years in Germany but in recent seasons has been less convincing than in his first under Glasner in the Autostadt. Last season saw Lacroix play 28 times for Wolfsburg but was sent off three times during the season.
After the departure of Lacorix and Moritz Jenz, Wolfsburg have around 30 hours left to try and sign a replacement, Union Berlin’s Danilho Doekhi and Club Brugge’s Jorne Spileers have been recently linked with a move to the club.
