Michael Olise's £60m Bayern Munich transfer closes as Crystal Palace cash in on star
Michael Olise's move from Crystal Palace to Bayern Munich is a done deal, talkSPORT understands.
The German giants have Chelsea defeated in the race to sign the talented 22-year-old attacker, who will move in a transfer worth £60million.
A release clause in Olise's contract at Selhurst Park means he was available for that fee this summer.
Palace have been seen with no option but to cash in on one of their star trio.
The Eagles will hope to retain the other two gems of their team, Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi, who has been hailed as England's best player at Euro 2024 so far.
Palace are understood to have decided earlier in the summer that they would refuse to sell any of those three players for less than £60m.
Chelsea were also interested in Olise, but Enzo Maresca's team decided to pull out because they considered the finances to be out of their reach.
Manchester United had also been linked with an interest in the London-born French youth international, but were also unlikely to shell out the £60m for the player.
Olise previously spent time in Chelsea's academy from 2009 to 2016 before being signed by city of manchester.
He didn't make his professional debut until he moved to Reading a year later where he lit up the Championship.

The 22-year-old has since become a Premier League regular at Selhurst Park, and his ten goals during the 2023/24 season are his best yet.
It means Chelsea will now look at other attacking options, but will also use a portion of their summer budget to reward some of their current players.
The west London side are understood to be looking to add two attacking players to their squad this summer and are confident an alternative to Olise will be found.
talkSPORT understands that Chelsea are too in talks with Aston Villa for Colombian forward Jhon Durán, 20 years old.
