Middlesbrough boss sends strong warning to Chelsea ahead of Carabao Cup semi-final clash on Tuesday
Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick has warned Chelsea that Tuesday's Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea will be different.
Speaking after Middlesbrough's 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Aston Villa, Carrick said: “Tuesday is different.
“This was a one-time thing and obviously it's the first round for us (third round overall). Tuesday is a little bit closer, it's a different kind of opportunity and I hope this place is rocking and what I'm hoping for on Tuesday is really a different kind of feeling. The boys will be looking forward to it.
“It's a huge challenge with a fantastic team and incredible players, but we'll take it and we've earned it, so you have to be in it to win it.”
