Mohamed Salah admits transfer plans following Jurgen Klopp's decision to leave Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has revealed how influential Jurgen Klopp's decision to leave Liverpool is on his own transfer plans.

klopp announced earlier this year who will leave Liverpool after nine years at the club in an explosive announcement that shocked the football world.

But the departure of the German coach has raised fears that it could cause an exodus of players.

However, the Egypt international has insisted that Klopp's decision will not affect his own thinking about a transfer.

Sky Sports explicitly asked Salah whether or not Klopp would influence his future this week.

The 31-year-old replied: “No, no, it's life, it's part of life now of all things.

“The players have already left the club, very important players have left the club.

“The coach is also very important for the club and he is leaving. One day I will leave the club like this, but no.”

Klopp revealed his decision to leave Liverpool in January, which left even the players, including Salah, shocked.

The striker added: “Normally we don't meet at 10:30 as 10:30 is reporting time.

“Normally it's a meeting at 10:30 and then training at 12 noon. Then they said there was a meeting at 10:30. I was like, 'What?'

“The coach's agent was at the training ground and I thought, 'Oh, he's going to renew his contract.'

“And five minutes before the meeting, Virgil (van Dijk) said, 'Do you know what the meeting is about?' I said no.

“He said, 'The manager is leaving.' I said, 'Really, the manager is leaving? Are you serious? Why?' He said, “No idea.”

“Then the coach came in and just said it and it was strange because no one knew before. There was nothing in the media.

“He didn't even prepare us for it, he just said it. It was a strange day for us and for the club.”
