Mohamed Salah he recalled with tight lips on the prospect of Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold joining together Real Madrid.
The pair are in the final six months of their contracts at Anfield along with captain Virgil van Dijk.
The club is working on renewal bids for all three, but time is against the Premier League leaders.
Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk are all eligible to open pre-contract talks with non-English clubs as alternative options.
Real Madrid are pushing hard to secure their long-term interest in Alexander-Arnold in a transfer but Salah's next step is unknown.
The Egyptian international was quick to play down reports of him considering a The League change, amid reports that he is learning Spanish, and admitted that Alexander-Arnold does not give anything.
“I'm just learning the language a little, and I can say things like 'how are you?' but that doesn't mean I consider living in Spain,” he told TNT Sports, via World of Sports.
“Trent's not very talkative (about his plans), he's crazy though, and I love him a lot.
Liverpool hope to reach a resolution before the end of January, but are unlikely to sanction the sale of Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid this month.
