Mohamed Salah has reiterated his claims that talks between him and Liverpool over a new contract are no closer to being finalised.
The Egyptian is in the final six months of his contract at Anfield, meaning he is on track to leave Liverpool on a free in June, along with teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.
He can now sign a pre-contract with any club outside England.
Explosive comments after Liverpool's 3-0 win over Manchester United in September by Salah saw him say this would be his. last season with the club.
In November, Salah then said that he “had not received any offers from the club” and was therefore 'more outside than inside'.
After Liverpool's victory over West Ham on December 29, Salah said that no progress has been made in negotiations and things appear to be at a standstill once again.
Ahead of Liverpool's clash at Anfield against the Red Devils on Sunday, Salah told Sky Sports: “It's my last year at the club, so you want to do something special for the city. That's what was on my mind.
Asked if he really believed it would be his last season at Liverpool, he said: “So far, yes. It's the last six months.
“There is no progress there. We are very far from any progress. So we just have to wait and see.”
Salah also admitted that every summer, before the season starts, he writes a list of his ambitions for the upcoming campaign. Last summer he wrote about lifting the Premier League trophy.
“The first thing on the list was to win the Premier League with Liverpool,” he said.
“It's probably because we didn't celebrate the one we won like we wanted to,” referring to their only Premier League title during the pandemic.
“We waited for that title for about 30 years. So to win it and it was the pandemic at the time, we didn't really have time to celebrate it in the right way. It's not a nice thing to do, so hopefully we can do it this year.
“What's on my mind is, if this is the last six months, what do you want to see in the future?” said.
“Do you want to look back and say I was worried or stressed about the contract? Or do you just want to say I had an incredible season? That's what's in my head.
“If I ever feel distracted, I just remind myself to look back and say I had an amazing season. That's what I want to do,” he said.
Salah has so far scored 17 Premier League goals and 13 assists, recently becoming the first player to score and assist in eight different top-flight games in one season.
The Egyptian striker has scored 231 goals and made 105 assists since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017.
Alexander-Arnold is another who is approaching Liverpool's door amid interest from real Madrid The Reds already rejected advances from the Spanish giants to sign the right-back in January.
Fans are divided over letting him go, with some saying the Liverpool-born star would be hated for leaving his childhood club.
Virgil van Dijk appears the most likely to stay, although neither player has signed a contract extension.
