Cole Palmer's elite mentality was put on display after footage from a video shoot surfaced on the internet.

Palmer's heroics in leading Chelsea back to Europe were rewarded on Wednesday night with the PFA Young Player of the Year Award.

And his brilliance transcended onto the international stage with England this summer, scoring the Three Lions' equaliser in their Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain.

The 22-year-old is back and ready to eclipse last season's staggering tally of 26 goals for the west London club.

Prior to the new campaign, Palmer took part in the filming of a video whose images will be shown whenever she hits the web.

In the clip, Palmer is seen performing his “ice-cold” goal celebration in front of the camera before being instructed to raise three fingers in the air to mark his next hat-trick.

Palmer was then heard asking “how about four?”, anticipating the possibility of going a little further, to which a member of the production team gave the thumbs up.

The attacking midfielder has already shown that he has exactly what it takes to score four goals in one game.

Palmer scored four times in Chelsea win 6-0 on Everton in April, when the Blues went on an incredible late-season run that saw them win seven of their last ten league games.

The star's importance has been exaggerated since his emergence with former boss Mauricio Pochettino describing him as a “top-class player”.

The former Manchester City star gave the Italian an injury scare ahead of Sunday's trip to Wolves, after walking down the tunnel holding his hamstring following Chelsea's 2-0 UEFA Conference League win over Servette on Thursday.

Before the trip to Molineux, Maresca said: “Cole felt something, but he looks fine.

“He has already been examined. He looks fine, he is fine. Hopefully there will be no problems and he will be able to play in Sunday's match.”
