According to Florian Plettenberg, Al-Nassr are pushing to sign RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan.
It had previously been reported that Barcelona were looking to make a move for Simakan, with the Spanish outfit looking to reinforce their backline this summer.
However, the Blaugrana walked away from any potential deal due to Die Rotten Bullen’s €50 million demand for the 24-year-old.
Nevertheless, this has not deterred a number of sides, with Liverpool and Newcastle United both monitoring the defender’s situation.
Despite this, the two Premier League sides are now facing competition from Saudi Arabia, with Al-Nassr exploring a deal for Simakan.
It is understood that Leipzig have been informed by Al-Nassr’s interest in the Frenchman, and now the decision is up to Simakan.
As stated in the report, Die Roten Bullen will ask for between €40 and €50 million for the 24-year-old, and they have already identified Benfica’s António Silva as a possible replacement.
