As reported by Chrisitan Falk and Bild, Newcastle United are exploring the opportunity of bringing in Julian Nagelsmann as head coach this summer.
The current Germany boss is unsure what his next move will be after Euro 2024. As it stands, the former Bayern Munich man is contracted with Die Mannschaft until the end of the European Championships. It’s possible he may stay on with the national team or head back into club management.
Germany’s performance at their home Euros may also have a say on his future.
Interestingly, Nagelsmann is in the same agency as Newcastle’s Fabian Schär, meaning both representatives have previously negotiated deals in the past.
Newcastle have struggled in the Premier League this season under Eddie Howe and failed to progress out of their Champions League group.
Currently 10th in the league, where Newcastle end up could spell the end for Howe in the North East of England.
