Nicolas Jackson unhappy with the departure of Mauricio Pochettino due to a possible departure from Chelsea

Chelsea Striker Nicolas Jackson is considering leaving the club following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino.

The Senegal international sealed a £32million move to Stamford Bridge last summer but struggled to make the desired impact in the months following the move.

Jackson scored a memorable hat-trick in Chelsea's 4-1 win over Tottenham in November, but just two goals in his next 12 league games left him struggling to shake off the boos.

His form improved in the second half of the season thanks to the faith shown in him by Pochettino, but the Argentine's departure last month left him considering his future, according to talkSPORT chief football correspondent Alex Crook.

“They told me that the decision to separate from Mauricio Pochettino It was not well received by everyone. Chelsea players,” Crook said. “Nicolas Jackson in particular, who you can't argue that he improved under Poch last season.

“He is not happy with the change of coach and is possibly looking to move away. “There is some interest on the part of Atlético de Madrid.”

The 22-year-old was injured while on international duty with Senegal for two World Cup qualifiers earlier this month.

He started a 1–1 draw against the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but was later substituted with an ankle injury.

Jackson underwent an MRI and missed the second game against Mauritania.

The severity of the injury is currently unknown and Jackson is currently enjoying his summer vacation in his home country.
