'No limits': Unai Emery secures new five-year contract with Aston Villa after Champions League qualification
Unai Emery has signed a new contract with Aston Villa that will keep him at the club until 2029.

Villa finished fourth in the Premier League this season, their best position since finishing second in 1992/93.

in a statement published on Monday, the club said: “Aston Villa we are delighted to announce Manager Unai Emery has agreed to a new five-year contract.
“The Spaniard guided the Club to a fourth place finish in the Premier League last season, securing the Champions League for the first time in our history.
“Completely transforming the Club's fortunes since his arrival in 2022, Unai took the team from 17th in the table to seventh during his first campaign in charge, returning European football to Villa for the first time in 13 years.”
President Nassef Sawiris said: “We are building something special here at Aston Villa with Unai at the center and we are delighted that he has signed a new contract with the club until 2029.
“As we move towards the historic 150th anniversary year, there is much to look forward to with Unai at the helm.”
Emery himself stated: “I am very happy to take this step and the responsibility of leading this club.
“Since I arrived at Villa with Wes and Nassef we have always found the best environment and structure to develop a project with the greatest ambition.
“The entire football structure with Monchi and Damián and the owners, we share the same vision and the same objectives.
“There is great chemistry at Aston Villa. And the element of support from the fans also makes a difference in feeling at home. “We are very excited to continue this limitless journey for our dreams.”
Emery has so far managed 83 Villa games, earning an average of 1.78 points per game.
