Noel Gallagher believes Arsenal will overtake his beloved Manchester City to this season's Premier League title.
With seven league games left to play this season, three teams are in contention to win the prestigious crown in May.
Last year's runners-up Arsenal They are leaders and are ahead of Liverpool on goal difference, with the current champions City one point behind in third place.
There's still plenty to play for, and a thoroughly enjoyable Premier League season is sure to bring more twists and turns.
However, the City fan Gallagher believes Arsenal are destined to go all the way and prevent his team from winning a record fourth consecutive title.
Asked by Alan Brasil on talkSPORT Breakfast if last season's treble is still a repeat, Gallagher said: “No, no, no, we are giving up too many chances.
“I look at Arsenal and I think they barely concede a corner let alone goals, let alone lose points. As you yourself know, the best defense usually wins the league and they are simply not giving up anything.
“Obviously I want City to win. If I were a bettor, I would have a suspicion that the table will end up like it is now and I think Arsenal will take the win on goal difference.
“That's the way I look at it because now we're expecting both of them to drop points and I look at Arsenal and every week you think, 'Well, this is the moment they implode.' I look at it and think, 'They're just solid as a rock'”.
He added: “Look at us, we're on a 25-game unbeaten streak and we're still third, so the quality is incredible.
“We are very capable of winning it and we are also Liverpooldon't rule them out, but I think we're expecting both of them to lose points.
“Everything can change in a weekend, I thought we were out until Sunday and then (Manchester) United did us a favor (they tied with Liverpool).
“So, you never know, but the treble, forget it, we are not going to do that, but we will take one or the other, the League or the Champions League.
“But we're there, at the start of the season I was thinking, 'God, if we're in the top four it would be great after winning the treble and all that'. We're there and if any team is going to do it, we'll do it.”
City, who are also in the Champions League quarter-finals along with Arsenal, will next face relegation-threatened Luton Town with also struggling Nottingham Forest on the horizon. run in.
The three title contenders have to play against Tottenham, a team still fighting to finish in the top four behind them.
There is every chance the title will be decided again on the final day, with just one point separating all clubs as they prepare for the business stage of the season.
However, despite their clear quality, Gallagher is not confident City will be crowned champions in 2024.
