Nottingham Forest have been unsuccessful in their appeal against their four-point deduction.
In March, Forest was four points were deducted for failure to comply with the Profitability and Sustainability Standards and filed an appeal.
Forest admitted breaching the PSR after overspending £34.5m over a three-year period and would have received a six-point deduction.
However, that figure was reduced to four after the independent commission praised their “excellent cooperation”.
Forest currently sit three points above the relegation zone with two games remaining.
Nottingham Forest are yet to officially comment on their failed appeal.

They face Chelsea at home and Burnley away in their final two games of the season.
However, they were scathing of the Premier League in a previous response to their initial deduction.
“We are very dismayed by the tone and content of the Premier League's submissions to the Commission,” the club said.
“After months of commitment to the Premier League and exceptional cooperation throughout, this was unexpected and has damaged the trust we had in the Premier League.”
The club also noted the transfer of Brennan Johnson which took place outside the PSR reporting period, but still in the same window.
If they had sold him earlier, for a lower fee, then the club would probably have complied with the rules.
