Nottingham Forest are looking to secure the signing of a new striker before the transfer window closes on Friday night, with Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush becoming a serious option.
According to John Percy, Forest are looking to pay a total package of just under €24 million to secure the signing of the Egypt international.
Forest currently have Chris Wood, Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis who operate in the striker position however manager Nuno Espirito Santo is still prioritising a new player in this position after experiencing failed attempts to sign Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal and Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez.
Last season, Marmoush made a total of 41 appearances for Frankfurt, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists.
The 25-year-old is a versatile forward who is most comfortable with play as a centre forward after playing there 31 times last season.
No deal has been agreed yet however Forest are now in advanced negotiations and are looking to finalise the deal later this week.
