Borussia Dortmund forward, Youssoufa Moukoko, has joined Ligue 1 side Nice on loan for the 2024/25 season, the club has announced.
BVB were looking to offload the 19-year-old before the end of the summer transfer window as he is no longer in head coach Nuri Şahin’s plans.
Both sides have agreed on a season-long loan with an option for Nice to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign in June 2025.
As well as this, the Ligue 1 outfit will pay 100% of Moukoko’s salary at Dortmund, as they look to beat a number of sides to the striker’s signature.
It’s unsure at what price BVB have put in place for Moukoko should Nice wish to make the move permanent.
Upon the forward’s move to France, ays Dortmund sports director Sebastian Kehl explained: “The competition in our offensive is currently very strong. For Youssoufa, it would have become difficult to receive enough playing practice in the coming months to develop at a high level.”
In total, Moukoko made 76 Bundesliga and 12 UEFA Champions League appearances for BVB.
