After a scintillating start to his Aston Villa career, Amadou Onana has been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for August.
The Belgian, who signed from Everton in the summer, scored with a towering header just four minutes into his debut in a 2-1 win at West Ham United on the opening day of the season.
He struck the crossbar against Arsenal on his Villa Park bow before finding the net again to help his side beat Leicester City 2-1 at King Power Stadium.
Onana is up against Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), David Raya (Arsenal), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Danny Welbeck (Brighton & Hove Albion) for the award.
The winner will be announced at 11am on Friday, September 13, and you can vote for Onana to win via the link below before voting closes at midday on Monday, September 9…
