Paris Saint-Germain has not given up yet Kylian Mbappé, despite reports that he has decided to leave the club for Real Madrid in the summer. Mbappe has not yet communicated his decision to CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and it seems he will fight to the end – with plenty of resources.
Mbappe wants a €50m-a-year contract, with a €125m signing bonus and a share of his image rights to sign for Los Blancos. However, Real Madrid wants Mbappe to become part of their salary structure, which would mean almost half of these demands, but coming at a salary similar to Jude Bellingham or Vinicius Junior.
Le Parisien journalist Francois David told El Chiringuito that Mbappe is not getting a bigger contract than his teammates, so he is more than capable of turning down Blancos for the fourth time. He already has an offer that dwarfs that of Real Madrid on the table even from PSG.
As brought by AS Diary, Mbappe will earn 160 million euros over the course of the two-year deal they offered him. On the same program, Josep Pedrerol, who has links with Florentino Perez, says that Real Madrid wants him to show that he wants to join the club by sacrificing financial gain.
Perez is of the opinion that Mbappe misbehaved with them in 2022, something he is willing to forget, but wants to see some form of change in the French forward. They want to set the terms of the deal and the timeline, relying on Mbappe to give in in the negotiations as a kind of reward for leaving them at the altar two years ago.
Once again, it seems that the saga has turned in the opposite direction. As was the case last time, it seems that everyone outside the Mbappe camp could be led into a merry dance trying to bring Mbappe.
