The Emir of Qatar has reportedly wished Kylian Mbappe the best of luck with his move to Real Madrid in the summer, accepting the French superstar's move away from his Paris Saint-Germain side. While he will leave PSG for free at the end of his contract, the French giants are still hoping for some form of transfer fee.
Multiple reports claim that Mbappe has already agreed to waive an €80 million loyalty bonus that he is owed, in order to help his hometown club. Now L'Equipe (via Diario AS) say that PSG are looking for more money from Mbappe's camp. It is said that, while he has not signed a deal with Real Madrid for the coming seasons, the terms of his exit are still being negotiated, and PSG want him to give up part of his signature to the fee for Real Madrid, after having previously maintained that he would never leave for free.
His signing fee is expected to range between €100-150m. Mbappe's relationship with manager Luis Enrique has been strained by the French forward being sent off twice in recent games, but it is not expected to affect the talks.
PSG no longer has power over Mbappe, so their position is purely based on the assumption that Mbappe is willing to give up a lot of money based on love for the club and the desire to fulfill his promise. Given how much Mbappe's agents have negotiated for his contracts in recent years, it's somewhat surprising that they would be willing to give up so much.
