Barcelona star Peter offers a sincere tribute to Tenerife as Spain get ready to take Switzerland to its hometown.
Pedri's return to full fitness at the start of the 2024/25 season was a major boost for Luis de la Fuente after his UEFA Euro 2024 campaign was cut short by injury.
Fully fit, he is a vital player for club and country, and will be a crucial part of Spain's push for qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
De la Fuente's charges have already secured qualification for the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals which take place in March.
It will be an emotional night for Pedri against the Swiss, with the 21-year-old growing up in the Santa Cruz area of the island, before moving to The Palms in 2018 and in Barcelona in 2020.
“For Ayoze Perez, Yeremy Pino and me, it's an honor to come to our house and it will be a very special match,” he said at the pre-match press conference in Spain.
“Tenerife is my home. Whenever I can, I come to enjoy the island, to see my family and my friends.
Pedri will win his 30th cap against the Swiss and hopes to add to his two international goals scored this summer.
