Phil Foden limped off during Manchester City's 3-3 draw with Real Madrid in midweek, but there is not too much concern.

The English international scored a great goal at the Bernabéu before being replaced by pep guardiola in the 87th minute.

However, there are hopes that he has avoided any serious injury and should be back in contention for the title. City Better sooner than later.

Foden was on the receiving end of a strong challenge near the end of the game and he came out limping being replaced by Julián Álvarez.

The versatile striker seemed unhappy about his absence, but it was clear that Guardiola was not taking any risks.

Foden was also asked about his injury and revealed it was just a “bad dead leg”.

He has since been seen training, suggesting the injury is not that serious and he will be back in action soon.

City's next rival will be Luton at home first division.

However, with the second leg against real Madrid scheduled for next week, it would not be a surprise if he rested to be fully prepared for the second leg.
