Piers Morgan branded Erik ten Hag “delusional” and “disrespectful” following the Dutchman's sacking from Manchester United.
Ten Hag was relieved of duties less than 24 hours after he oversaw a 2-1 defeat to West Ham United.
Morgan was quick to react to the news and reminded fans of Cristiano Ronaldo's comments about the Dutchman in 2022.
“Every word Cristiano said to me about Ten Hag in our explosive interview arose from the events,” Morgan wrote in X.
“He was an over-promoted, delusional, disrespectful and completely mediocre manager who couldn't handle world-class talent or run a club of that size.”

In the interview, Ronaldo attacked the Dutchman and said that he “would never have respect” for him if the coach was not sincere.
“The coach had no respect for me,” Ronaldo said.
“That's why the relationship is that way. He keeps saying in the press that he comes to me, that he likes me, blah, blah, blah, but that's just for the press, 100 percent.
“If you don't respect me, I will never respect you.”
