With a big Champions League tie on Wednesday against PSG, Borussia Dortmund prepared terribly as they were comfortably besten 4-1 by RB Leipzig.
Dortmund dominated the ball in the first half and were rewarded when Jadon Sancho opened the scoring in the 20th minute. However, the goal was the shot in the arm that Leipzig needed as only three minutes later Loïs Openda equalise for Leipzig diverting in a Xavi Simons cross.
Leipzig then had the best chances of the first half with a penatly overturned by VAR after Salih Özcan tackled Dani Olmo. Then just beofre the break, a Xaver Schlager shot was parried into the path of Benjamin Seško who gave Leipzig the lead.
Leipzig then started the second half off quikcly when Mohamed Simakan finished off a Leipzig counter to make it 3-1. Dortmund failed to create anything in the second half despite having the majority of the ball. Then in the 80th minute, substitute Christoph Baumgartner made it 4-1 to Leipzig.
