Thomas Tuchel will be forced into making at least two changes to his Bayern Munich team that drew 2-2 against Arsenal at the Emirates one week ago. Alphonso Davies is suspended, while Serge Gnabry suffered a hamstring injury in the reverse fixture.
In more positive news, after missing the game at the weekend, Leroy Sané is expected to return to the starting lineup with Thomas Müller coming in for the injured Gnabry. But Tuchel remains short on attacking options with Kingsley Coman also sidelined. The Frenchman sustained an adductor injury during Bayern’s 2-0 win at FC Köln on Saturday, and is unlikely to be available for the remainder of the season.
Defensively, Noussair Mazraoui was tested at left-back against Köln, and should start in place of Davies. Tuchel also placed Konrad Laimer and Leon Goretzka on the bench at the weekend, making sure the duo remain fit for tonight’s game.
Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Arsenal
Manuel Neuer – Joshua Kimmich, Matthijs de Ligt, Eric Dier, Noussair Mazraoui – Konrad Laimer, Leon Goretzka – Leroy Sané, Thomas Müller, Jamal Musiala – Harry Kane. (Kicker)
