Thomas Tuchel has a plethora of injury problems to deal with ahead of Bayern Munich hosting RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga Topspiel on Saturday evening.
Sacha Boey (Hamstring), Kingsley Coman (Knee), Alphonso Davies (Knee), Serge Gnabry (Hamstring), Noussair Mazraoui (Thigh) and Bouna Sarr (ACL) are all sidelined. Dayot Upamecano is also suspended after being sent off for a second bookable offence against Bochum last weekend.
With Mazroui’s absence, we can expect to see Joshua Kimmich revert to right-back, with Aleksandar Pavlović coming back into the starting lineup alongside Leon Goretzka.
Leroy Sané, who came on as a substitute in Bayern’s 3-2 defeat in Bochum, should also start ahead of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, with Jamal Musiala and Thomas Müller retaining their places.
Tuchel did confirm that Konrad Laimer would be back in the squad after recovering from an injury, but is unlikely to start. De Ligt and Sané also face suspensions should they pick up a fifth yellow card of the Bundesliga season.
Bryan Zaragoza and Mathys Tel remain options for Tuchel from the bench.
Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs RB Leipzig
Manuel Neuer – Joshua Kimmich, Matthijs de Ligt, Kim Min-jae, Raphaël Guerreiro – Aleksandar Pavlović, Leon Goretzka – Leroy Sané, Thomas Müller. Jamal Musiala – Harry Kane.
