Premier League LIVE: Man United agree deal to appoint Amorim with arrival date set, Man City suffer injury crisis, Van de Ven left in tears
City in crisis
Pep Guardiola has revealed the extent of Manchester City's injury crisis, after suffering three more problems last night.
Savinho was stretchered off against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup, while Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias appeared to suffer knocks.
If they miss out, they will join Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Jeremy Doku, Oscar Bobb and Rodri on the sidelines.
And it leaves Manchester City with an extremely depleted team…
“We have 13 players, we are in real difficulties,” Guardiola said after last night's 2-1 loss to Tottenham.
“The guys who play mostly end up with problems and we will see how they recover.
“I think we are in trouble, because in nine years we have never been in a situation with so many injuries.
“The players take a step forward, more together than ever, and we will try it this week in this short recovery time.”
And he added: “If these guys do not return as quickly as possible, we will have difficulties, because we cannot sustain ourselves with only 14 or 15 players for the season.
“We need the players to come back.”
