Manuel Ugarte and Carlos Soler appear to be getting closer to signing for the Premier League after being left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad.

The duo will not feature in Friday night's home clash against Montpellier. The Parisians looking to secure their second consecutive Ligue 1 win this season.

talkSPORT reported last month how Manchester United were looking towards an attack so that Uruguayan midfielder Ugarte can give competition to Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo.

The Red Devils had a Offer rejected by PSG for the 23-year-old in July.

But talks are now believed to be at an advanced stage on a deal that could reach £51m.

Luis Enrique's team are determined to recoup the £51m they paid for him last summer from Sporting Lisbon.

It is the second consecutive match in the French top flight that the midfielder has played. It has been omitted from the PSG squad ahead of a proposed move to Old Trafford.

Ought United If Ugarte were to be moved away from the Parc des Princes, his summer spending would rise to more than 200 million pounds.

They have already spent around £150m on new signings Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee and Noussair Mazraoui.

Regarding Ugarte's teammate SolerThe Spaniard looks set to join West Ham, where he would become their tenth signing this window.

A fee of £20million is understood to be close to being agreed between the Hammers and PSG for the 27-year-old's services.

Soler has spent the last two seasons with the French giants, winning back-to-back Ligue 1 titles.

But Enrique has considered him redundant and has preferred Vitinha, Warren Zaire-Emery and Fabián Ruiz in his place.

The former Valencia player has scored just five goals in 50 top-flight appearances.

But he is hugely admired by new West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui, who is looking to bring his compatriot to east London.

It's been a busy summer at the London Stadium, with West Ham spending close to £150m on nine new signings.

Big-money transfers include Max Kilman, Niclas Fullkrug, Crysencio Summerville, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luis Guilherme.

West Ham also signed centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo on an initial loan.

Meanwhile, they have also signed Guido Rodriguez, Wes Foderingham and Mohamadou Kanté on free transfers.
