Luis Enrique already has a new forward for his new-look PSG as they’ve successfully signed Kolo Muani from Frankfurt. After several days of drama surrounding the attacker, who even declared himself in protest to force his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt, he has finally seen his wish come true and will join the Parisian squad this season.

The signing was ultimately closed for about 97 million dollars, including variables, that PSG and Nasser Al-Khelafi will pay to the German team to secure the services of the World Cup runner-up. Kolo Muani will be the fourth attacker that Paris Saint-Germain signs after the arrivals of Marco Asensio, Ousmane Dembl, and Gonalo Ramos.

Muani put pressure on Frankfurt to close the deal with PSG

The transfer for the Bondy-born forward was expedited following an exclusive interview by Sky Sports Germany, in which he showed gratitude to Eintracht Frankfurt’s fans but at the same time made it clear that “joining PSG is a unique opportunity” and asked the German club to accept the Parisian proposal after having tried previously on several occasions. Additionally, the forward had already closed a verbal agreement with the French team that linked him in Paris until 2028.

A few hours later, Eintracht announced that Kolo Muani was not attending training for the return leg of the Conference League match against CSKA Sofia, making it clear that the player was declaring himself no longer an Eintracht player.

Ultimately, Kolo Muani got what he wanted and he will play for the current Ligue 1 champion in a record transfer sale for Eintracht Frankfurt. This is the most expensive sale by the German club, surpassing the 64 million dollars they received for Luka Jovic in the summer of 2019 from Real Madrid.
