Real Madrid defender Rafa Marin is ready to hit the ground running when he returns from a loan spell to Alaves next month.
The 21-year-old centre-back has impressed in the Basque Country as a first-choice option in the Alaves backline.
Marin was previously linked with a January recall to Madrid, due to an injury crisis, but all parties agreed for him to stay in Vitoria.
Alaves does not have a purchase option included in the loan deal with Los Blancos and will return to Madrid at the end of the campaign.
Despite the competition for places in by Carlo Ancelotti back center points, including a possible summer move for rising French star Leny YoroMarin wants to prove his worth.
“I owe you to Real Madrid, but now I'm in Alaves. I'm focused on giving my best for this team. When the summer comes, we'll see what happens,” as per AS Diary.
Marin's stock has risen during his time at Alaves, but with the average age of Ancelotti's defense continuing to rise, he remains an option to bring him back. Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger.
