A discreet meeting took place in Monaco last Tuesday between former Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel and new Manchester United shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The British billionaire is reported to have heard Tuchel's plans for United's future and explored a possible collaboration for next season.
Tuchel is believed to have highlighted his ability to improve individual players, particularly mentioning his potential to maximize the performance of Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount, an aspect in which current manager Erik ten Hag has struggled. Tuchel gave Antonio Rudiger as an example, citing his pivotal role in Chelsea's Champions League victory in 2021 and his subsequent triumph with Real Madrid.
The club's end-of-season evaluation is nearing completion and Ten Hag is expected to be informed of the board's decision soon.
