RB Leipzig will look to return to winning ways in the Bundesliga this weekend after suffering their first defeat of the season, but they face a difficult game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, who put four goals past Werder Bremen on Sunday.

Marco Rose also faces a defensive headache coming into this game. Leipzig will be without Lutsharel Geertruida – who featured in the defeats against Borussia Dortmund and Celtic – and Castello Lukeba. Lukas Klostermann is expected to come in for Geertruida and El Chadaille Bitshiabu, who played against Celtic, is expected to retain his place.

Benjamin Šeško and Loïs Openda – who have eight goals and five assists between them in the Bundesliga this season will start ahead of the same midfield that played in their 2-1 defeat against Borussia Dortmund.

After being an unused substitute against Celtic, Arthur Vermeeren should return in place of Kevin Kampl, who is likely to return to the bench.

David Raum, Xaver Schlager and Xavi Simons remain sidelined until after the international break.

Predicted RB Leipzig XI vs Borussia Mönchengladbach

Péter Gulácsi – Lukas Klostermann, Willi Orban, El Chadaille Bitshiabu, Benjamin Henrichs – Arthur Vermeeren, Amadou Haidara – Christoph Baumgartner, Antonio Nusa – Loïs Openda, Benjamin Šeško
