RC Lens’ Kevin Danso an option for VfB Stuttgart in this transfer window

Sky Germany reports that RC Lens defender Kevin Danso is an option for VfB Stuttgart as they look to boost their defensive options in this transfer window.

Apart from Jeff Chabot, Stuttgart’s defensive options are very youthful with Ameen Al-Dakhil, Anthony Rouault, Ramon Hendriks (all 23) and Anrie Chase (20) all making appearances this season. On top of this, there is also Dan-Axel Zagadou who is still coming off of a ligament injury.

That means Stuttgart needs a defender with more experience and Danso may be the guy. The 26-year-old has been at the heart of Lens’ defence for four years now and played a key role in their Champions League qualification in 2023. On top of this, he has Bundesliga experience having played for Augsburg before moving to the North of France.

However, Danso’s contract at Lens expires in 2027 which means the transfer fee will likely be an issue. Stuttgart are said to have other options on their list.

Stuttgart currently find themselves in a very packed midtable in the Bundesliga while they also have two important games in the Champions League against Slovan Bratislava and PSG where they are still looking for a place in the playoff spots.
